Being in a relationship can bring out the best in us.

We can feel seen, cherished, and fulfilled. However, what follows can often be a golden opportunity that sometimes falls short. Disappointment and frustration are inevitable in any relationship. These feelings can arise when the initial connection we felt with our partner evolves into a new dynamic that might be demanding or isolating.

Our ability to navigate these moments of tension often reflects our inner experiences and the lens through which we view the world. When we struggle to tolerate certain thoughts or feelings, we may project them outward, and these projections can influence our reality.

We may find ourselves grappling with the contrast between the person we fell in love with, who mirrored our best qualities, and the current version of the relationship that seems to demand more from us or leave us feeling abandoned.

Understanding and learning to manage the tension, both within ourselves and within the relationship, is the essence of effective couple’s therapy.

I offer a safe, non-judgmental space to explore what might be hindering you from understanding your true needs and advocating effectively for yourself and your relationship.

Developing tools that afford you greater emotional resilience and higher stress tolerance is key.
